The Stealth Switch: Protecting Your Privacy

The Stealth Switch is the answer to any worker who desperately needs to avoid doing work and not get caught. As soon as footsteps are heard heading in your direction, you frantically try to close all the windows that are non-work related on your computer. This includes but is not limited to: games, blogs, Myspace, Wikipedia, and eBay. Many of us have done this at least one time at work, and well, many sometimes get caught. Not anymore!

This is a microprocessor based computer privacy device, and is a foot switch that is hidden either between the keyboard and the computer. Simply install the software, make the necessary preference selections and you will be good to go. To activate, lightly tap your shoes against it and voila!

The Stealth Switch can do a tremendous amount of things. It can mute the sound, hide the taskbar, hide the desktop icons, and even has a password that can protect the restore function. It can also hide the current window, hide all windows, or hide all windows except for specified windows. The applications are not minimized, but made completely invisible.

Alas, when the coast is clear, another quick tap and you are ready to unclick pause. As far as I'm concerned, my emotions are mixed. If I were an employer, I would seriously try and be on the lookout for this. However, as an employee, this seems as if it's a dream come true. I mean, who wouldn't want to waste time at work and get paid for it? That is, if you've already completed the day's workload and had time to spare. Talk about instant computer privacy at your toes!

Nipple Ring: Practical Advertisement.

It seems that advertisements have been appearing in every aspect of our lives. Today, it even appears while playing a simple game of basketball. A piercing shop in Rotterdam has pushed the limit even further with their 3D advertisement for their studio. This definitely gets the message across, while also is practical and is used in our everyday lives.

Acting as a hoop, the piercing is created with the image of flesh behind it on the backboard. Together, it looks as if it were a nipple piercing. However, I am aware of the other piercing that are available and wonder what will pop up and where.

Photography: Dreams of Flying

If this doesn't signify cool, then I have no idea what does! Photographer Jan von Holleben has created a series of contrived pictures. His overall theme has been titled "Dreams of Flying" in which each of his images are taken on the ground, but looks as if the action is really taking place. For example, the image of the young kids riding the bicycles in the air is really achieved by having the bicycles lying on the floor. All of the subjects in this work as a whole, are children and it definitely says something about them always wanting to fly. Very youthful.

This theme is unlike any other I have seen before, and think it to be refreshing. I especially love the fact that it shows movement, hope and inspiration.

Kisses: The Sexy Urinal

Tired of peeing in front of the same old white porcelain urinal every single day? Fear not! For Bathroom Mania, a design production firm has introduced an illustrative new line of sanitary products designed by Dutch Meike van Schijindel.

"Kissses" the sexy urinal, has transformed an everyday task into a "blushing experience." Certainly a treat for men. Currently these luscious lips are installed in pubs across Europe and are now for sale across the world.

These urinals are definitely new to hit the market and offer a very innovative, fun way to spend time in the john. However, as a female, I'm not too sure if i like the idea of a man peeing into what looks to be a woman's mouth. As innocent as it may seem, it could possibly send a very bad message out to little kids who use these at public places. That seems to be opening a can of worms, so I will not go there today. Perhaps, I will come back and edit later on.

For now, I'll just look at it from a very creative point of view.

Childrens Paper Chair

Tired of your child writing all over your newly painted walls? Well, the solution has been created by Charlotte Friis Design Studio. More of an art piece, it has been made to look like a roll of toilet paper. As the child uses it one side of the paper roll decreases and the other side increases. Since this occurs, it shows the child's growth also. The intention of this artwork was to make a comment about the use of our paper.

The Chair is made with drawing paper and as the paper is being scribbled on over time, the size of the front cylinder increases parallel to that of the child's growth. Confused? Here's how it works, clean paper is in the back and is transferred from the back cylinder to the front. Simply put, the child has to roll the front cylinder backwards to get clean paper. The amount of paper is approximately 1500 feet, which means that it could last as long as 5 years!

Talk about a 3-in-1 product. It's a drawing pad complete with its own chair, a child's scrapbook of artwork from over the years, and is environmentally friendly!

This is definitely going on my Christmas list. Ahem. I mean, it is going to be bought for my little my cousin. Sadly, pricing and availability was not mentioned. That doesn't mean that I won't be on the lookout for it though!
