The Stealth Switch is the answer to any worker who desperately needs to avoid doing work and not get caught. As soon as footsteps are heard heading in your direction, you frantically try to close all the windows that are non-work related on your computer. This includes but is not limited to: games, blogs, Myspace, Wikipedia, and eBay. Many of us have done this at least one time at work, and well, many sometimes get caught. Not anymore! This is a microprocessor based computer privacy device, and is a foot switch that is hidden either between the keyboard and the computer. Simply install the software, make the necessary preference selections and you will be good to go. To activate, lightly tap your shoes against it and voila!
The Stealth Switch can do a tremendous amount of things. It can mute the sound, hide the taskbar, hide the desktop icons, and even has a password that can protect the restore function. It can also hide the current window, hide all windows, or hide all windows except for specified windows. The applications are not minimized, but made completely invisible.
Alas, when the coast is clear, another quick tap and you are ready to unclick pause. As far as I'm concerned, my emotions are mixed. If I were an employer, I would seriously try and be on the lookout for this. However, as an employee, this seems as if it's a dream come true. I mean, who wouldn't want to waste time at work and get paid for it? That is, if you've already completed the day's workload and had time to spare. Talk about instant computer privacy at your toes!
