Hey! Get your hands outta my pants!!

It never ceases to amaze me when we've got bright ideas for old companies. Levi's did a little risky advertising only to have it become a success, with their campaign, "unbuttoned". So, what'd they do? Well, instead of traditionally having an ad inside of the magazine they had the magazine inside the ad. Pretty clever, no? Basically, they made little miniature sized 501 jeans and stuffed the magazine. This doesn't leave much choice but to stick your hand down the pants to fish out the reading material. Clever indeed.

Oh, and by the way, it was placed on an auction for ebay and sold for twelve times the original price.

Trash bags shaped like kids, for kids

Leo Burnett Hong Kong has created a powerful campaign in Vietnam and Mongolia for the Christina Nobel Children's Foundation. Their aim, to help street kids who, for lack of other options, sustain themselves by eating out of the garbage. Kid shaped garbage bags were placed near trash cans similar to the image shown below.

Have you felt the bump lately?

Talk about bringing awareness into the heart and minds of everyone around. Not only is this a great idea but it works well and gets people informed. At first, the pink stripes doesnt send up any alarms however we almost want tourists and the like to question why it is pink and not yellow. That is where the sign comes into play. "Felt the Bump" -- Great and straight to the point.

Sushi on the go!

Definitely one of those moments when I wished I drove a Jeep. Great ambient marketing tactic for sushi restaurants that deliver!! Sometimes guys, simple is the way to go. Great way to think outside of the box, inexpensive yet gets the point across. The only downside I can think of is that it wont look as appealing once it begins to collect dirt. Until then, tre cool.

Wired Marketing Art

Came across this awesome guerrilla marketing tactic that could also be considered art, all at the same time. What looks to be a computer generated image, is actually a real stunning work of art. This life-sized sculpture of a Toyota Corolla was made out wire then spray painted white by British artist, Benedict Radcliffe. The work of art and patience, was commissioned by Dentsu Inc for advertising campaigns but definitely has a nice added benefit of viral marketing.

Pretty damn dope if you ask me. KUDOS.

The Selk' Bag: The Ultimate Daytime Nightwear

If you've ever wanted a wearable sleeping bag, then this is your lucky day! The Selk'bag is a padded sleeping bag that is shaped to the human form. Unlike traditional sleeping bags, this one allows for free movement both in and out of sleep. The main functions are warmth, maximum movement and comfort.

Personally, it reminds me of the AOL Instant Messenger character of the yellow running man, or the MSN Messenger's grey login man.
The Selk'bag was created by Chilean designer Rodrigo Alonso Schramm, and has been a popular hit even before production began.

When I first came across this funky yet awesome design, it was a piece of art. It had not been mass-produced and was available in only grey. Today, it is available for purchase and is now made in an array of colors, where each color is made to withstand a different temperature level.

Eliminate all the bulky layers of clothing that don't even keep you warm, with the giant full-body uni-garment you can
stand without any trouble, walk, cross your arms and legs, and when you get tired, just roll over and sleep.

Wrigley's Winning Smile

Lately, we have been seeing advertisements left right and center. Well, it has now hit us in the face. Wrigley's chewing gum launched a new campaign termed 'Extra Smile'. Their aim: to create awareness for extra white teeth. The ad campaign promoted Wrigley's whitening chewing gum.

Basically, what you see here, is a sticker that is kind of cute, but weird. It has been placed on the bottom of Starbucks coffee cups and gifts. This unique and creative way of advertising
has amused customers, resulted in stolen cups, and reportedly increased Wrigley's sales during the promotion. After all, nothing works better than an advertisement that is right in your face.

Egg Currency VS. Elvis Photomosaic

This is a work of art that was created in China. It is composed of eggs, and has been made to include tremendous detail of a currency note. As amazing as the Great Wall is, this might have to be the number two structure. The artist that created this must have been extremely patient and well, had lot's of eggs. Either way, this is definitely one way to counterfeit currency.

I can only imagine working on a piece this big. First, a lot of thought was definitely put into this project. Second, the artist must have worked only in one direction. For example, left to right, top to bottom, right to left, etc. Otherwise, he would be walking on eggs all day.

On the other hand, a little less messy approach to a piece of art would be to use Post-it Notes. Not nearly as amazing as the Egg Currency. This damn near measures up though! Possibly out of boredom, this is a photo mosaic style Elvis that was made out of multi-colored Post-it Notes and applied onto a conference room wall. Again, this is also very time-consuming but still amazing.

I can't wait to see what's next.

Jigsaw Puzzle Alarm Clock...from hell.

Having trouble waking up in the morning? Are you the person that always hits the snooze button at least five times before waking up, only to hate yourself for doing it later in the day? Well then, I've come across this pretty interesting alarm clock that is for you.

With the Puzzle Alarm Clock, once the alarm goes off, it's no turning back. It fires four puzzle pieces into the air that will make you want to cry. Right now this might not be a big deal to you, but imagine, the only way to turn the dammed thing off, is to wake up, drag yourself out of bed, find the missing puzzle pieces, and then put it back together again. You just cannot lie in the bed, blissfully tucked in your blanket cause the loud and annoying ring of the alarm cannot be ignored.

Having this alarm clock is like a love hate relationship. You love it because it actually works, but hate it because it actually works.

This clock is guaranteed to wake you up! To purchase click here.

The Stealth Switch: Protecting Your Privacy

The Stealth Switch is the answer to any worker who desperately needs to avoid doing work and not get caught. As soon as footsteps are heard heading in your direction, you frantically try to close all the windows that are non-work related on your computer. This includes but is not limited to: games, blogs, Myspace, Wikipedia, and eBay. Many of us have done this at least one time at work, and well, many sometimes get caught. Not anymore!

This is a microprocessor based computer privacy device, and is a foot switch that is hidden either between the keyboard and the computer. Simply install the software, make the necessary preference selections and you will be good to go. To activate, lightly tap your shoes against it and voila!

The Stealth Switch can do a tremendous amount of things. It can mute the sound, hide the taskbar, hide the desktop icons, and even has a password that can protect the restore function. It can also hide the current window, hide all windows, or hide all windows except for specified windows. The applications are not minimized, but made completely invisible.

Alas, when the coast is clear, another quick tap and you are ready to unclick pause. As far as I'm concerned, my emotions are mixed. If I were an employer, I would seriously try and be on the lookout for this. However, as an employee, this seems as if it's a dream come true. I mean, who wouldn't want to waste time at work and get paid for it? That is, if you've already completed the day's workload and had time to spare. Talk about instant computer privacy at your toes!

Nipple Ring: Practical Advertisement.

It seems that advertisements have been appearing in every aspect of our lives. Today, it even appears while playing a simple game of basketball. A piercing shop in Rotterdam has pushed the limit even further with their 3D advertisement for their studio. This definitely gets the message across, while also is practical and is used in our everyday lives.

Acting as a hoop, the piercing is created with the image of flesh behind it on the backboard. Together, it looks as if it were a nipple piercing. However, I am aware of the other piercing that are available and wonder what will pop up and where.

Photography: Dreams of Flying

If this doesn't signify cool, then I have no idea what does! Photographer Jan von Holleben has created a series of contrived pictures. His overall theme has been titled "Dreams of Flying" in which each of his images are taken on the ground, but looks as if the action is really taking place. For example, the image of the young kids riding the bicycles in the air is really achieved by having the bicycles lying on the floor. All of the subjects in this work as a whole, are children and it definitely says something about them always wanting to fly. Very youthful.

This theme is unlike any other I have seen before, and think it to be refreshing. I especially love the fact that it shows movement, hope and inspiration.

Kisses: The Sexy Urinal

Tired of peeing in front of the same old white porcelain urinal every single day? Fear not! For Bathroom Mania, a design production firm has introduced an illustrative new line of sanitary products designed by Dutch Meike van Schijindel.

"Kissses" the sexy urinal, has transformed an everyday task into a "blushing experience." Certainly a treat for men. Currently these luscious lips are installed in pubs across Europe and are now for sale across the world.

These urinals are definitely new to hit the market and offer a very innovative, fun way to spend time in the john. However, as a female, I'm not too sure if i like the idea of a man peeing into what looks to be a woman's mouth. As innocent as it may seem, it could possibly send a very bad message out to little kids who use these at public places. That seems to be opening a can of worms, so I will not go there today. Perhaps, I will come back and edit later on.

For now, I'll just look at it from a very creative point of view.

Childrens Paper Chair

Tired of your child writing all over your newly painted walls? Well, the solution has been created by Charlotte Friis Design Studio. More of an art piece, it has been made to look like a roll of toilet paper. As the child uses it one side of the paper roll decreases and the other side increases. Since this occurs, it shows the child's growth also. The intention of this artwork was to make a comment about the use of our paper.

The Chair is made with drawing paper and as the paper is being scribbled on over time, the size of the front cylinder increases parallel to that of the child's growth. Confused? Here's how it works, clean paper is in the back and is transferred from the back cylinder to the front. Simply put, the child has to roll the front cylinder backwards to get clean paper. The amount of paper is approximately 1500 feet, which means that it could last as long as 5 years!

Talk about a 3-in-1 product. It's a drawing pad complete with its own chair, a child's scrapbook of artwork from over the years, and is environmentally friendly!

This is definitely going on my Christmas list. Ahem. I mean, it is going to be bought for my little my cousin. Sadly, pricing and availability was not mentioned. That doesn't mean that I won't be on the lookout for it though!
